Children’s Diabetes Foundation of North Bay

The Children’s Diabetes Foundation of the North Bay, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that was founded in 2001 by Lynn Francisco of Petaluma. When Lynn’s daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of two, few resources existed in the North Bay for children with diabetes or their families. Today, we believe we are the only organization in Sonoma County providing services for children, teens, and families affected by diabetes within our local communities. Over the past several years, the number of families we serve has increased tremendously. Unfortunately, we expect the need for support to continue to increase – as the incidence of type 1 and type 2 diabetes rises in Sonoma County, in California, and across the U.S.

PEP Housing

PEP Housing started as a vision by a group of clergy and civic leaders who wanted to provide quality affordable housing to the community’s lowest income seniors. As a result of their efforts, in 1978 PEP Housing became the first non-profit housing provider to serve the needs of the people of Petaluma. Since then, PEP Housing has developed more than 300 low-income senior rental units in Sonoma County, demonstrating that dreams can be realized with perseverance and community support. What was once a volunteer organization has grown into a fully staffed group of professionals offering a full complement of services.
