RESOLUTIONS | Weight Loss Program
RESOLUTIONS is a weight loss program that teaches you lifestyle and behavior modifications in a supportive group setting. In RESOLUTIONS you are given a personalized weight loss plan to promote permanent and effective weight loss.

We all know that weight loss is not easy and diets don’t work. New fad diets are on the market every other month, trapping/luring us into believing this one will work!

The Resolutions program offers you tools to personalize your weight loss plan to fit your lifestyle. It is an “individualized” program versus a one-type plan for all.

• The Resolutions program is for everyone who has tried to lose weight and has been unsuccessful with long-term success.
• There are no foods that are off limits. Instead, participants learn to make the right choices in the proper amounts. The diet choices made are ones that can be maintained for life.
• You will learn the one major tool that leads to weight loss.
• You will discover the benefit of moderation/compensation techniques.
• The three major concepts of the program are: Think Smart, Eat Well, Move More. Participants learn how to incorporate all three concepts of making better choices, choosing food wisely and exercising into their daily life.
• Resolutions meetings occur once a week for an hour.
• The participants weigh in weekly and keep daily food journals.
• The groups are small which encourages participants to share their successes and difficulties.
• The participants have access to the instructor outside of class time by e-mail or phone for questions or problems.

Unlike other programs, participants are encouraged to share and the small group size makes this possible. Everyone is very supportive of each other and friendships and laughter are often a result of participating in the program. Topics include emotional eating, changing negative thoughts, incorporating exercise into daily life, the importance of proteins, carbohydrates and fats in diet, techniques for surviving holidays, special events, etc.
